LEARN MORE about GCAS
GCAS® (GC Analysis Software) is a conditional based monitoring software tool specifically designed for GC to provide assurance that the GC performance remains accurate. Gas Chromatography (GC) is widely known as a device that conducts its measuring functions recurrently and it is imperative that the instrument remain stable and repeatable. GC can be said as one of most important devices that frequently used within the oil and gas industry to measure the composition of natural gas for the purposes of such things as allocation, fiscal reporting and sales/ custody transfer. Therefore, having the accurate measurement of the gas composition by the GC is critically important.
However, there remains several fundamental issues within the GC such as calibration error, leakage, column deterioration. Since GC is an extremely repeatable device, the potential error due to these issues might lead to consistently wrong result and higher risk for significant financial exposure for all parties involved. GCAS® can identify all aspects of GC operations including such issues as incorrect calibration gas entries, operating condition changes, valve timing, etc.
